Michael Novick

Michael Novick is an award-winning producer and entertainment executive with over two decades of experience producing and managing some of the biggest names in the music, television, theater and film.

As President of Novick Entertainment, a company Novick founded in 2013 after the success of the television series Glee which he co-created in association with Ryan Murphy and Fox, Novick has produced a number of projects including his most recent success, Erased: The Murder of Elma Sands a recently released Podcast starring Allison Williams and Tony Goldwyn based on the first murder trial in US History. The Podcast soared to the top of the Apple podcasts charts within days of its release. He has also produced music videos for independent artists such as Thao w/the Get Down Stay Down; McLovins self-titled album with Grammy Emmy and Tony award winning producer Bill Sherman; the award-winning We the Kings a narrative feature film with British writer/director Lauren Mackenzie. The film won the Raindance Film Festival in London. Lauren was listed for a British Independent Film award for breakthrough director. Novick has cultivated a full slate of projects including: Living Room a novel by Rachel Sherman with Oscar Nominated screenwriter Robert Festinger (In the Bedroom) attached to adapt and direct.

Novick has also partnered with Broadway Super-Producer Kevin McCollum (Rent, Avenue Q, Motown, Something Rotten, In the Heights, Six, West Side Story) on a variety of film, TV and stage projects including Leila Sales book, This Song Will Save Your Life that McCollum and Novick will produce for stage and screen. Lastly, Novick has most recently branched out into artist management representing a mix of music genres including Pop-Country Carolyn Miller, pop rock Jake Huffman, and alt pop Baker Grace as well as writer/director Allison Flom. Most recently Novick is working with Hank Azaria and the EZ Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen Tribute project making its live debut on August 1st in NYC.

Novick started his career in New York appearing in numerous commercials, off-Broadway and regional theatre productions and independent films. In 2008 a script he pitched to Ryan Murphy as film became the global phenomenon of a TV show Glee which he produced. He received an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Series and the show won a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards for Best TV Comedy, the SAG award for Best Ensemble Cast, and was named twice to AFI’s top 10 television shows of the year.

Novick currently resides in Laurel Hollow, NY. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
